When do applications open?

Escalate V applications are now open.

When do applications close?

Applications close 24th October 2020

How much does it cost to be involved?

This project is supported by artsACT. All you need to do is become a member and that is $33

When will I find out if my application is successful?

All applicants will be notified of their acceptance and the ESCALATE Artists will be publicly announced in November

Do I need to have my piece created by the application date?

No. We just want your ideas and ideas for your dancers at this point – or you may want to dance solo!

Dancers, we can help you choreograph your work or you can come with something you or your teacher have created.

How are the applications selected?

Applicants are selected on innovation, passion and commitment by our panel of internationally recognised industry leaders.

What if I’m not available on one of the Intensive Dates of 21-24th January?

Unfortunately if you are not available for the Intensive dates, you won’t be selected for the program.

PERFORMANCES

When will the performances be held?

Performances for Escalate V will be in early April 2020

Will I/my work perform each day?

Yes

​

Can my work in be any dance genre?

Yes

​

How long can my piece be?

Each piece must be between 5-8 minutes.

​

Who can be in my work?

Maximum of 6 dancers. You choose your dancers as long as they are between 16 - 26 years.

Can my dancers be used in other Escalate choreographers works?

No, there is a limit of one work per dancer.

Can I create and dance in my own work?

Yes, you can.
